Normally, new hires are requested to go through a preboarding journey which includes a pre-hire orientation, company culture introduction, forms and the collection of regulatory requirements, such as submitting personal information or identification documents.

A preboarding journey can happen as early as a new hire begins in his/her notice period, while for some it can be in between 1-4 weeks before their start date in their new company.

An onboarding journey usually follows the preboarding journey and occurs on or after the start date of the new hire in the organisation. Some companies combine preboarding and onboarding together, while others separate them and require a validation process by the HR coordinators before moving on to the next stage.

In some cases, a new hire may also be required to stop, pause or delay their preboarding and onboarding journey due to a sudden change in the notice period, or failure to meet health or regulatory requirements.

In Qualee, you may choose to stop, pause or delay an employee from completing their journey and let them continue as soon as they've ticked all the boxes and pre-requisites before moving on to the next stage of their employment.

To pause a journey/disable an employee's access in Qualee:

  • Log in to the Qualee Console

  • Navigate to Advanced, then select Employees

  • On the right side of the employee's name, click on the ellipsis button and select Disable.

Once disabled, an employee's access will no longer be accessible and all ongoing preboarding or onboarding journeys will be put on hold.

Note: Disabling an employee does not result in their data or existing progress in a preboarding/onboarding journey being deleted. Once access is reinstated, they will be able to go back to where they left off and continue on completing their journeys.
