Implementing unique custom user access types for different manager roles within an employee experience solution software is crucial for several reasons. It ensures that each manager has the appropriate level of access to potentially sensitive employee data, which enhances data security and compliance with privacy regulations.

Tailoring access also allows managers to focus on their specific responsibilities without being overwhelmed by peripheral information, leading to more efficient decision-making and streamlined workflows.

Moreover, it fosters accountability by delineating access rights, enabling better tracking of actions taken by each manager. Ultimately, this customization enhances the overall user experience, empowering managers to effectively engage with their teams while protecting critical organizational data.

To customize manager permissions:

  1. Navigate to Advanced > User Access > Manager

  2. Configure the access levels in general via the Managers table
โ€‹Note: This setting applies to all users with Manager roles.

To override specific manager permissions:

  1. In the same page, scroll down and identify a specific Manager name you wish to modify.

  2. Click the ellipsis button next to the Manager's name, and select Override permissions. A window will pop-up containing all permissions for the specific manager.

  3. Configure permissions as required

  4. Click Save permissions and repeat the process for other managers.
